JOB SUMMARY
The Housing Program Director will oversee and implement housing strategies to meet client needs. Responsibilities include managing housing funds, ensuring contractual compliance, and supporting Housing staff through training and on-the-ground assistance. The Director will serve as the primary liaison for funders, community partners, and internal teams to facilitate communication and advocacy.

- Training & Technical Assistance: Ensure staff understand leasing, subsidy programs, reporting, and compliance. Provide training via e-learning, online/remote, and in-person methods.
- Leasing & Subsidy Expertise: Manage region-specific subsidies, master leases, eviction legalities, and landlord relationships.
- Field Work & Inspections: Conduct monthly inspections of master lease units and quarterly inspections in outer regions. Travel frequently to maintain housing standards.
- HMIS/Clarity Oversight & Administration: Serve as the system administrator, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and reporting.
- Electronic Platforms: Manage data collection and reporting platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Audit & Compliance: Lead audit preparations and ensure adherence to HUD, CoC, and County requirements.
- Housing Lead & Advocacy: Act as the main contact for funders, partners, and teams to streamline communication and advocacy.
- Contract & Compliance Management: Ensure program adherence to contracts and train staff on housing compliance.
- Housing Development & Strategy: Focus on long-term housing acquisition, leasing, and development strategies.
- Funding & Expansion: Manage housing-related funding sources, identify new opportunities, and promote sustainability.
- Landlord Engagement & Risk Mitigation: Recruit landlords, address concerns, and develop eviction prevention strategies.
- Standardized Processes: Establish policies and best practices for consistency across housing programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/certification.
- Experience: At least 5 years overseeing housing programs in community or behavioral health settings.
- Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; proficient in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of HUD programs, funding, and compliance; experience in property management.
