Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team, focusing on large, complex construction projects, particularly in federal environments. This role involves ensuring compliance with schedules, specifications, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor construction phases for adherence to project schedules, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Identify and address problems, recommend solutions, and evaluate the necessity for contract modifications.
- Perform inspections and manage daily site reports in RMS, documenting progress, safety issues, and subcontractor activities.
- Assist in the contract modification process, including the preparation of scopes of work and government estimates.
- Review contractor plans and technical submissions, ensuring all documentation meets project requirements.
- Draft correspondence related to contractor performance, including REAs and RFIs.
- Prepare payment estimates, including quantity measurement and verification of materials on site.
- Monitor construction progress and alert project leads of potential delays.
- Participate in RFI and submittal reviews, collaborating with technical experts and project leads.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and data to support project management decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale federal construction projects preferred.
- Familiarity with RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.
