Role Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Leadership: Collaborate with teachers to create a vibrant, welcoming environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Assist in executing our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, tailoring approaches to meet the individual needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Safety First: Prioritize maintaining a safe, nurturing space where children can thrive.
  • Family Communication: Aid teachers in keeping parents informed about their child's progress and milestones using mobile apps and in-person discussions.
  • Center Collaboration: Work as part of a team, helping to achieve retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
  • Relationship Builder: Develop warm connections with families and colleagues, creating a harmonious learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: High School Diploma/GED required. ECE coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years old.
  • Experience: Prior experience in childcare or a demonstrable passion for early childhood education is a plus.
  • State Compliance: Must meet all state-specific guidelines for the position.
  • Health Requirements: Must comply with state and federal regulations, including immunizations and health and safety training.

Caregiving Skills:

  • Strong judgment skills to identify and manage potential risks in a childcare environment.
  • Ensure children's everyday needs are met, such as diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Model and promote good social skills, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Keep children engaged and active with appropriate activities.
  • Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and composure at all times.

Physical Resilience:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort.
  • Capability to safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Flexibility to reach, stretch, climb, and balance as needed.
  • Capability to observe and supervise children effectively.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F.
  • Maintain energy and alertness to perform essential job functions effectively.
