As a Residential Life Mentor, you will live with and guide high school seniors in residence buildings, nurturing their development with essential life skills crucial for their futures—whether they are pursuing post-secondary education, entering the military, or embarking on their careers.
Your role will include:
- Mentoring students in life skills such as self-responsibility, goal setting, time management, personal finance, and interpersonal communication.
- Organizing and supervising engaging evening and weekend activities.
- Facilitating student participation in Sunday chapel services.
- Collaborating with fellow staff to continuously enhance student programming.
- Providing support in student homes as needed.
This is a year-round position with a competitive annual salary starting at $48,799, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Housing and utilities will be provided, and you may also be eligible for up to $2,800 in relocation assistance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing to operate a 9-passenger van.
- Experience in youth residential settings preferred.
- Background in mentoring or teaching diverse youth from under-served communities desired.
- Proven experience in life skills training is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a capacity for conflict resolution and inspiration.
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications, internet, and social media.
- This is a live-in position with specific parameters: only married spouses can reside in the apartment, overnight guests must have prior approval, and no pets, smoking, or weapons are permitted. Alcohol consumption is not allowed while on duty.
