Role: Nutritional Cook

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes.
  • Ensure meals meet HCSG's quality, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cooking or food preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to recipes and follow dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required per local regulations.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
