About This Role Assist in developing a culture of preparedness and resiliency within the university through prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Worksite Option This role is expected tobe performed on-site. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree. Preferred Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree in emergency management, emergency response, public safety, public health, criminal justice, public administration, or closely related field.
    • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations, standards and policies related to emergency management and continuity of operations.
    • Knowledge of plan review, Incident Command System, Continuity of Operations Plans, Emergency Operation Center operations.
    • Knowledge of how to plan and conduct drills/exercises.
    • Skill in oral and written communication, and skill or experience utilizing mediation practices to reach consensus.
    • Skill in building relationships with campus and community partners.
    • Skill at intermediate level in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals with diverse backgrounds.
    • Ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
    • Ability to draft event and incident action plans.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Other Requirements:
      • Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) issued by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and/or a state association EM certification.
