Dieterich Bank is looking for a Retail Banker to join our team in Breese, IL. Retail Bankers represent the face of Dieterich Bank within the communities we serve, building customer relationships by helping them make informed choices, solve problems, and improve their financial well-being.

A Day In The Life Of a Retail Banker

Your priority is to maintain a fun, friendly, professional, and respectful environment as the customer experience is what makes Dieterich Bank different. You will assist customers with new account setup, complete deposits and withdrawals, process payments, and cash checks. You will be a resource for online banking assistance, fraud-related questions, and address change requests. You will also sell and promote our products and services. Confidentiality and resolving customer concerns are a must.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working in a face-to-face customer service role, preferably in banking
• Associate Degree in business or related field preferred
• Must be dependable and able to work Saturdays on a rotation basis
• Must possess excellent communication skills and consultative abilities to identify a client's financial needs; able to communicate with customers face-to-face or by telephone
• Proficient in the use of technology (Microsoft Office, online banking, apps, etc.)
• Must demonstrate our core values of Integrity, Value, Service Excellence, and Teamwork
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment and assist other departments as needed
• Maintain accuracy by staying detail-focused and organized

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring up to 40 hours per week with a schedule based on branch hours (8:00 am 5:00 pm). There is a rotation of Saturdays, minimum two per month (8:00 am 12:00 pm). When staffing allows, a full day off during the week may be granted if a Saturday is scheduled.
