Primary PurposePerform a wide variety of duties to maintain and control accurate levels of inventory in grocery and perishable warehouses. This includes the evaluation, research of simple and routine discrepancies, and entering of data information into warehouse systems, auditing of outbound cases to retail stores, technical support to receiving and shipping departments, and exchanging information as needed with customers in retail, merchandising, trucking, and campus.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory of all departments within the campusPerform quality control and auditing responsibilitiesPerform perpetual cycle counts and all supplemental count requirements within established time framesMonitor warehouse damage and initiate resolutionNotify appropriate department leads for product discrepanciesUtilize reports to assist Distribution in investigating and expediting issues related to inventory discrepancies and audit resultsMaintain accurate, organized files for all department responsibilities for efficient access to necessary informationPerform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory management within established time frames.Recommend modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivityUnderstand Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environmentQualificationsWorking Knowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsExcellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skillsHigh School educationCertified on a powered industrial equipment where applicableFamiliarity/experience in a distribution environment Preferred RequirementsMeet production standards set by the companyRead and understand written and numeric product identifiersMust be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned dutiesProficient use of computer for data entry and research purposesHighly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environmentReach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.Stand for long periods of timeWork in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool/warm temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks) We are an organization that values diversity and encourages all qualified individuals to apply without regard to sex, race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship status, religion, age, marital status (including civil unions), military service, veteran status, pregnancy (including childbirth and related medical conditions), genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, legally recognized disability, domestic violence victim status or any other characteristic protected by law.
