Position

Night Auditor

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions and ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions.
  • Review, organize, and compile management reports on a timely basis.
  • Communicate concerns and related issues to all levels of management; perform guest service agent duties as required (check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, reservations).
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports; prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports (e.g., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports) according to hotel standards.
  • Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashiers' work; audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards timely.
  • Input and update financial information into corporate communications network; perform data processing system functions as required.
  • Keep management informed of unusual operational or financial events and deviations from policies or procedures.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction; respond to governmental inquiries; handle guest requests.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required. Guest service experience preferred.
  • Computer knowledge/skills required; flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Ability to perform sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor, communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings; maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations; maintain confidentiality of information; demonstrate initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel-related areas and adapt to changing needs.
