Role:
Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior GIS Developer/Analyst to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on GIS technical assignments to assist in the development of geographic information systems applications.
Responsibilities:
- Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
- Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet user needs in addition to performing simple spatial analyses and producing reports according to customer specifications.
- Assist in the development of geographic information systems applications which may link parcel maps.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment.
- Must be able to work with some direct supervision.
- Must have experience in some of the following: SQL, python, JavaScript, arcade.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes.
- Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices.
- Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing.
- Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.
- Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor.
- Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications.
- Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or related technical field and one (1) year minimum of relevant experience in GIS.
- Some knowledge of ESRI GIS technology suite.
- ESRI suite of tools and services, Javascript, SQL, Oracle or SQL databases, SharePoint, ServiceNow, MS Office products (Word, Excel).
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a background check is required.
