Responsibilities

The general scope of this position's responsibility is to work closely with the Helpers, Set Up Techs and the Shift Supervisors. You must also be able to work closely with the Quality Control Technicians in case of quality problems. You must be able to perform all of your duties in a safe and timely fashion.

Maintain operation of designated line.

Be able to supervise Helpers on line and be responsible for their actions.

Ability to take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting the line back up and running under normal running conditions.

Ability to train their helpers to perform properly in accordance with the helper's responsibilities.

Responsible for following safety rules, such as wearing safety gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses in assigned areas and the appropriate safety procedures that apply. A technician is also responsible for the enforcement of safety rules to the helper.

Responsible for clean ups and daily clean up that is due by the end of the shift.

Ability to do all technician paperwork, key information into the computer system, and be responsible for all products run on the line.

Ability to understand the process and operation of the equipment.

Drive forklift as needed to move skids and/or supplies in a safe manner.

Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Prefer at least 1 year as an Apprentice Technician or approval from upper management. 2. Possess basic computer/typing skills. 3. Ability to understand/communicate English in oral and written form. 4. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. 5. Ability and willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime. 6. Complete recipe training. 7. Basic supervisory skills. 8. Problem solving skills. 9. Ability to pass a drug test.

Pay: $20.19 - $30.00
