Description The Blau lab is seeking to fill a part-time Assistant Research Scientist position for a project on the transcriptional control of the plasticity of circadian pacemaker neurons. Responsibilities will include experimental design and data acquisition, presenting at lab meetings, and training new lab members. You may be expected to collaborate with other members of the lab. The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in Biology or a related field and at least 1.5 years of research experience. In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $27/hr for 20 hours per week for 3 months. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have experience in Drosophila genetics, larval and adult Drosophila brain dissections, in situ hybridization of Drosophila larval brains, and confocal imaging using a Leica Stellaris.
