We are looking for a flexible and detail-oriented individual to ensure our school remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, and community.Essential Functions:Complete daily routines as assigned in both the North and South buildingsMaintain the cleanliness of tables, chairs, floors and change out the garbage within the Cafeteria.Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.Removal and disposal of garbage throughout the buildings.Clean restrooms, lobby and reception areas, and security desk.Clean lobby glass and door cleaning, including wiping of smudges and handles.Elevator cleaning, including buttons and doors.Service and inspect restrooms for cleanliness, leaks, and supply stocking.Regularly review and clean the courtyard, play deck and outdoor garden, sweeping and washing as necessary.Identify and communicate potential cleaning and maintenance issues proactively.Assist with conference room/rental setups as needed.Assist with school events, set up and break downRefrigerators: Clean and disinfect all refrigerators, and discard food left behindSupport with weather impacts, such as snow removal, tarp setup, removing water, etc.Complete seasonal deep cleaning projects.Perform additional assigned maintenance and custodial tasks.Follow all OSHA compliance for proper chemical use and maintenance.Follow proper protocols when cleaning bodily fluids and blood exposure.Complete all assigned custodial projects during the school year.Attend full faculty and staff meetings.Willing to commit to anti-bias and anti-racism work and to promoting inclusion, belonging and equity through their work in the classroom and school community.Ensure a commitment to the school's DEI mission and goals by participating in continuous professional development for learning differences, anti-racism and anti-bias of all kinds.Be an active member of the Gaynor communityOther duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriateQualificationsQualifications & Skills:Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentryMust have prior building cleaning experienceMust be able to read/communicate in English and follow written instructionsMust be able to move furniture, carry equipment and climb stairs with easeMust be able to lift and carry at least 50lbsSelf-motivated, flexible, and able to work as part of a teamPassionate about delivering outstanding customer serviceOrganized with the ability to multitaskAbility to be flexible and work with interruptions in a positive manner, and in an environment with a number of faculty, staff and studentsStrong communication skills and ability to problem solve.
