Career Start is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Admin Clerk in Syracuse, NY. Preferred candidates will have previous shipping and receiving experience, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have experience with inventory management systems. The Shipping and Receiving Admin Clerk will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. There are 3 shifts available: 1st: 6 am to 230 pm 2nd: 2 pm to 1030 pm 3rd: 10 pm to 630 am Pay of Shipping and Receiving Admin Clerk:

  • $20.50/Hr
Responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Admin Clerk:
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and ensure timely shipment of orders.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Verify and record incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Inspect received goods for accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of received items
  • Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages to the appropriate departments
  • Provide general administrative support to the shipping/receiving department, including filing, data entry, and answering phones.
Requirements of Shipping and Receiving Admin Clerk:
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with inventory management systems preferred
