Summary
As a partner in building brighter futures for youth and their families, your role will be to manage and develop the program operations and other related technical and clinical support activities that align with The Village Networks Mission, Vision & Values.
Essential Tasks, Duties, And Responsibilities
- Coordinates advocate meetings. Attends community meetings, court hearings, SAR meetings, and other meetings as necessary. Maintains contact with agencies. Manages overall network operations.
- Ensures compliance requirements for advocates and clients including, but not limited to, in-home recruiting, licensing, and foster home recertification. Completes Treatment Foster Care/Family Foster Care and adoption home study assessments. Ensures compliance with contract requirements (ODJFS, ODMH, ADAMH rules, such as monthly reports, monthly statistics, and placement notices).
- Works with the referral process to match youth with appropriate families and maintain a balance between admissions and discharges.
- Supervises clinical staff and additionally assigned program staff to include annual performance reviews. Reviews and finalizes documentation related to youth. Completes Individual Service Plans. Reviews and approves Individual Service Plans and updates. Provides and/or supervises adoption services to youth and families.
- Performs other duties as required including, but not limited to, case management, completing all required paperwork, court appearances, participating in the marketing of The Village Network to prospective advocates, and addressing questions and concerns of foster parents or youth in their care.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to use a computer; proficiency with Microsoft Office products, CATT, and E-Timesheet.
- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field; Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) licensure required.
- 2 years of experience desired.
- Maintains adoption assessor certification.
- Valid Ohio Drivers License and maintains a driving record that allows insurability with the insurer providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mediate and make decisions quickly.
- Strong organizational skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to comply with The Village Network requirements for using restraints including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training.
- Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.
- Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
