Manufacturing Technician
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Technician. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with a duration of 12 months. The location is State College, PA, with an on-site schedule of 7am-4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
Job Description:
- Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
- Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics.
- Works from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics, and/or test procedures to diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment.
- Constructs, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment used to support RF testing/tuning.
- Ensures correct functionality of units under test and test equipment.
- Utilizes methodical and logical reasoning processes to resolve complex technical issues.
- Identifies any discrepancies within testing.
- Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Preferred additional skills include an AA Degree in electronics or equivalent technical degree, working knowledge of MS Office, good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope, working knowledge of electronic test equipment, experience with environmental testing and monitoring of products, working knowledge of electronic theory relating to RF transmission, receivers' circuits, analog and digital circuitry, troubleshooting RF/Digital circuits to the component level, understanding and ability to perform calibration of RF circuitry and equipment calibration procedures, advanced experience with test equipment, and advanced ability to read and understand schematic diagrams to solve complex technical problems, analyze faulty circuits.
Pay Range*: $40-$45 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
