Job Description
Provides Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training and ongoing support for physicians and providers to drive successful utilization of the electronic systems. Responsible for providing physician training for Dragon Speech recognition, and to encourage and ensure ongoing adoption. Works to align system build and training to the provider workflows. Provides at-the-elbow support for the physician population.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform training for EMR and Dragon Medical One applications for both in-patient physicians, as well as ambulatory private practice physicians and staff. Facilitate dissemination of education and training materials. Develop and maintain tip sheets and end-user training/support documentation. Provide technical support to end users of applications. Assist IT leaders in the analysis of current state, future state, and gap analysis. Utilize appropriate methodologies for communication, issue tracking, system, and project documentation. Qualifications:
Required:
Associate degree in computer technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Equivalency is High School diploma plus 4 years working in health care or IT). 2 years experience in a healthcare setting (6 years without an Associate's degree). Ability to travel to ambulatory offices in all McLaren Regions, including but not limited to Northern Michigan, Central Michigan, Bay, Lansing, Flint, Lapeer, Oakland, Macomb, and Port Huron with schedule flexibility, if necessary. Preferred:
