Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) to join an acute care setting on the night shift. Candidates will work with both adult and NICU patient populations, supporting respiratory care plans and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and clinical precision.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor therapeutic respiratory treatments to patients per physician orders.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and document the effectiveness of respiratory care plans.
  • Perform airway management, including intubation assistance and suctioning.
  • Operate and maintain life-support equipment such as ventilators and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as Code Blues and Rapid Response activations.
  • Provide care and monitoring to neonates in the NICU, including surfactant administration and ventilator management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and adjust respiratory treatments.

Skills

  • Expertise in mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
  • Proficiency with both adult and neonatal respiratory care
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • Adaptability in high-acuity environments
