Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Part-Time Board Certified Dosimetrist to join our team. This position is fully remote and will work and support the Texas Oncology Gulf Coast region in Houston, TX. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country with approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The Gulf Coast region is experiencing growth with the addition of multiple sites throughout the greater Houston area. This role offers the opportunity to impact patient care and contribute to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to generate radiation therapy treatment plans in a timely manner using computer software and various imaging modalities, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to adapt to ever-changing technology and be open to learning new systems and techniques.
  • Must be able to perform routine duties independent of supervision but consult with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist as required.
  • Must be able to consult and communicate with the therapists regarding the implementation of the treatment plan including: the correct use of immobilization devices, field arrangement, and other treatment variables.
  • Must be able to perform or supervise the design and fabrication of immobilization devices, beam modifying devices (i.e., compensating filters, bolus, molds, custom shields, etc.) and treatment planning aids.
  • Strong experience with Varian Aria for EMR and Eclipse RTPS.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Credentials as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) preferred
  • At least two years of experience with Eclipse TPS preferred
  • Two years of experience with ARIA preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in planning VMAT, IMRT, SBRT, and 3D plans
  • Experience with RADCAL and RADFORMATION preferred
