Position Overview:The Director of Residential Services will lead the development and implementation of innovative residential and supported living services for adults with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilities. This role involves crafting a vision for a new residential community, expanding sponsored residential services, and establishing supported living services that empower individuals and promote their independence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to evidence-based practices and advocacy for individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Vision Development and Strategic Planning:Create and communicate a comprehensive vision for a new residential community that meets the needs of adults with neurodevelopmental disabilitiesCollaborate with families, staff, board members, and strategic community partners to identify needs and inform the strategic planning process Project Leadership:Oversee the planning, design, and execution of a new residential community, ensuring it is welcoming and supportive of individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilitiesManage project timelines, budgets, and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the development process Expansion of Sponsored Residential Services:Expand VIA's current sponsored residential services to provide more community living options for individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilitiesDirect VIA's current sponsored residential services to ensure high quality service, compliance with regulatory requirements, and meet budget goals Develop and Implement Supported Living Services:Establish supported living services that rely on evidence-based practices to empower individuals served to live independentlyDevelop policies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, establish and meet budget goals, and oversee growth of new services Community Engagement and Advocacy:Build partnerships with local organizations, community members, and stakeholders to advocate for the residential support needs of adults with autism and neurodevelopmental disabilitiesConduct outreach and education efforts to raise awareness of VIA's services and the unique challenges faced by this population.Work with VIA's advancement department to respond to funding opportunities, including grants and community partnerships, to support program growth and sustainability Bachelor's degree in applied behavior analysis, social work, psychology, special education, or a related field; Master's degree preferredPrevious experience managing residential services for adults with disabilitiesMinimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in developmental disability or autism services, with at least 3 years in residential servicesWorking knowledge of state licensing processes and funding (including Medicaid standards and Waiver services) requiredProven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully launching and overseeing service programsStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholdersCommitment to evidence-based practices and advocacy for individuals with disabilities recblid mdl7is54mt8t2q14gh8jg9ilx82y5p
