Job Overview Seeking a Warehouse Specialist to perform duties involving inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material. Further, the candidate should feel comfortable operating and maneuvering motor vehicles and material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts. Chugach also wishes candidates to be proficient in utilizing computer-based inventory systems for entry, identification and tracking of material. Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Verifies materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. Routes materials to prescribed storage locations. Processes material in automated inventory management system Oversees storing, stacking, and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, ensuring locations are accurately noted in the automated inventory management system Takes inventory of stored materials to identify discrepancies Assists facility personnel in obtaining the correct inventory stock number(s) and validating customer material requests Operates company owned forklifts, and/or other equipment as needed to load and unload trucks and move material around the warehouse Maintains workspace to be hazard free with daily cleanup and organization Manages the storage of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Sends emails informing facility personnel that their material has arrived. Prepares Direct Turn Over (DTO) and DD1149 documents for packaging of material to be shipped. Performs other related work as assigned. Accountable for: Knowledgeable in basic warehouse operations Ability to work to be conducted in a timely and professional manner Effective oral and written communication skills A self-starter and to pursue self-education Ability to keep manager and supervisors apprised of their progress, maintain ability to work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies/procedures as well as government processes. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be a U.S. citizen. Three (3) or more years' experience in warehouse operations Must be knowledgeable in the operation of Microsoft Office and other business software. Valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record pertinent to the position. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
