Job Description Construction Safety / EHS Officer (Sioux Falls, SD area)Just in late yesterday! Sioux Falls, SD area contractor is looking for their next Safety (EHS) Officer within construction that can bring their eye for safety and experience to the team. Qualifications for Safety Officer : New Construction with confidence in maintaining safety from start to finish, perform injury management including minor first aid, incident root cause investigation and reporting, return to work as needed5+ years experience in commercial construction as acting Safety Coordinator, Officer is needed, will observe and report around teams to cut out at - risk behavior while identify safety concerns and help to come up with corrective stepsAbility to Site Safety Coordinators on the job, maintain safe work practices and coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project documents and specificationAssist with developing, conducting, and documenting the job site, safety orientations for all new team members, subcontractors, and other appropriate vendors, visitors, etcDevelop and set up systems to ensure proper handling of all Hazardous Material Including proper use, storage, shipment, spill control and cleanup, and disposalComputer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs, AED, CPR and First Aid Certification neededKnowledge of construction and has OSHA 500 or prior experience a plusCommercial construction, site work, excavation, etc. experience and FLUENT IN SPANISH is all preferred!
