We are currently looking for a Home Infusion RN - Independent Contractor in Laurel Fork, Virginia.This role is perfect for an experienced Registered Nurse who specializes in home infusion therapy and patient care. You will provide in-home infusion treatments and education for patients undergoing therapies such as TPN, IVIG, and IV biologics. Your expertise will guide patients and their families through therapy plans while ensuring safety, adherence, and optimal outcomes. The position offers flexibility as a per diem, independent contractor role and requires both clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills. You will collaborate with healthcare teams, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in patients' lives while working in a dynamic home healthcare environment.Accountabilities
  • Conduct in-home infusion therapy visits according to established care plans.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation of patient interventions.
  • Provide patient education on therapy protocols, drug side effects, and home infusion procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and the pharmacy to ensure smooth care coordination.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with skilled interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and manage patient and family expectations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare teams to provide optimal patient support.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in home infusion and infusion center settings.
  • 3+ years' experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics; CRNI certification preferred.
  • Skilled in peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer use, including documentation, word processing, email, and internet applications.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
