Essential Responsibilities
- Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; builds relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Provides actionable feedback to others and mentors junior team members. Adapts to competing demands and new responsibilities; models team collaboration within and across teams.
- Conducts or oversees business-specific projects by applying deep expertise; partners with internal and external stakeholders to make effective business decisions; develops work plans, coordinates resources, and monitors progress; identifies improvement opportunities and influences task completion by others.
- Implements and executes strategies that support Kaiser Permanente's mission by collaborating with leadership to implement short-term and long-term strategies and tactics; leads strategy for and execution of business development activities and new opportunities; coordinates multi-stakeholder strategy development processes; assesses progress against strategic initiatives.
- Designs and executes market research and financial modeling to identify opportunities and threats; translates broad corporate strategies into clear objectives; presents methodologies to leadership and reports on enterprise-wide pipeline activities to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Drives relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support; engages with stakeholders to promote collaboration and maintain a network of industry peers and experts to stay informed about trends and opportunities.
- Develops repeatable processes for identification, evaluation, prioritization, negotiation, and execution of transactions, new business launches, and integrations; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and integrates strategy with day-to-day operations.
- Develops and grows businesses and partnerships by identifying potential transactions and opportunities (e.g., M&A, partnerships, new business units, subsidiaries, investments); coordinates new ventures from startup to self-sufficiency; builds a business development roadmap aligned with Kaiser Permanente's strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND minimum seven (7) years of experience in business administration, healthcare administration, or a directly related field, OR Bachelor's degree AND minimum five (5) years of experience working for a management consulting firm, investment fund, or investment bank.
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience with or without direct reports.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience building and/or executing a wide range of enterprise strategies, or strategic investments, ventures, or partnerships.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience managing complex programs, deal diligence, and/or integrations.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience developing agendas and materials for executive and/or board audiences.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience within a matrixed organization with or without direct reports.
