Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Risk Experience

Locations: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Portland, OR, or Remote within Canada or United States

Responsibilities

• Hands-on senior full-stack engineer on the Card Fraud and Disputes Team, building seamless experiences for customers and empowering the internal Risk Operations team with robust, efficient tools.
• Own projects end-to-end, from ideation to deployment, with the ability to lead multiple engineers on larger initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend APIs and frontend user interfaces to ensure systems are seamless and scalable.
• Create and review technical design documents and API specifications; contribute to architectural decisions and system designs.
• Collaborate across teams with product managers, designers, and risk operations stakeholders to deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of demonstrated full-stack experience at the senior level or higher with a strong sense of ownership and experience driving projects from inception to completion.
• Experience with, or eagerness to learn, frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Experience with, or eagerness to learn, backend technologies including Haskell, Yesod, Persistent, and PostgreSQL.

Compensation and Benefits

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Salaries and equity ranges are competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and updated regularly based on industry data. New hire offers are based on experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

• US employees (any location): $166,600 - $208,300
• Canadian employees (any location): CAD 157,400 - 196,800
