Qualifications targeted for this role include experience with CI/CD build/release pipeline management tools, proficiency in Web APIs and microservice architecture, experience with C#, .NET, TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server, MongoDB, or related databases, familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., Windsurf, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor), preference for Agile product delivery, and familiarity with GIT, Change Management, and application lifecycle management tools. You should be comfortable managing application lifecycles and influencing others without formal authority.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer at Veterans United Home Loans, youll build and maintain software that supports our coworkers and the Veterans we serve. Your work will focus on front-end and back-end solutions that support our missionhelping Veterans and Service Members achieve homeownership while driving business goals in the mortgage and real estate space. Youll also help drive the use of AI and automation to boost efficiency and enhance user experience.

Were seeking a Software Engineer to join us remotely in either Columbia, St. Louis, Kansas City, or Springfield, MO. This position offers remote work with a hybrid touch. You can work mostly from home, with occasional in-person collaboration at our hubs.

The pay for this role ranges from $70,000 to $105,000, based on experience and skill set.

What youll be doing

• Building and delivering functional, reliable software using core technologies like .NET, C#, Angular, and TypeScript within an Agile development environment.
• Applying Domain-Driven Design, writing Clean Code, and embracing object-oriented programming to create solutions that work seamlessly.
• Collaborating with the team through planning sessions, retrospectives, and open communication.
• Working closely with Architects and Product Owners to turn requirements into smart, actionable business logic.
• Helping shape and adopt Software Engineering standards, focusing on security, reliability, and stability, and ensuring borrower data is handled with care and transparency throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Pitching in wherever needed and fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.
