Overview
Position Overview: As an Associate/Senior Associate, the potential candidate will be instrumental in driving real estate credit investments by analyzing and executing transactions with a focus on delivering strong risk-adjusted returns. The time allocation is expected to be split between Investments and Asset Management. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, adaptability to shifting priorities, and exceptional communication and organizational skills. You should bring relevant experience and a keen interest in navigating sophisticated real estate transactions to contribute effectively to our teams success.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate real estate debt investment opportunities, with an emphasis on multifamily and residential condominium construction financing
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for asset, portfolio, and corporate-level transactions
- Prepare Screening and Investment Committee Memoranda, outlining deal merits, financial metrics, risks, mitigants, and market data
- Conduct project level and market research
- Interface with brokers, legal counsel, market participants, and third-party vendors to facilitate transactions and operations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 34 years of experience in at least one of the following: Real estate private equity acquisitions and development
- Real estate private credit originations / underwriting
- Investment banking with advanced financial modeling expertise
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a STEM-related field
