2847 - Manager, CoManager, Consulting - Water/Wastewater/Stormwaterconsulting
The Black & Veatch Infrastructure Advisory team seeks a manager-level professional to join more than 200 consultants, regulatory policy advisors, technology specialists, and energy industry experts to deliver consulting solutions in the Water/Wastewater/Stormwater sector. This individual will plan, market, sell, and deliver multi-disciplinary advisory services to private and investor-owned utilities, municipalities, and government agencies.

Responsibilities
- Develop sales capability to contribute to the growth of the Rates & Regulatory Practice by engaging clients and delivering solutions, and lead/manage others in the Practice.
- Help develop long-term project and business advisory relationships with utilities.
- Support the delivery of client solutions to the water market.
- Interact with asset management, strategy and planning, sustainability, and technology practices to drive development, selling, and delivery of multi-functional solutions.
- Lead communications within the internal engagement team and with clients; manage multiple concurrent projects with limited supervision or lead small/medium teams.
Consulting Capability
- Transfer knowledge to improve others' knowledge and skills
- Enhance relationships with client teams
- Contribute to quality reviews on engagements
- Meet client expectations within engagement scope
- Develop knowledge bases and performance targets to demonstrate efficiency or added value
- Challenge client strategy and define competitive advantage through strategic change components and metrics
- Formulate hypotheses and develop analytical plans; analyze impact of strategic changes
Industry Knowledge Capability
- Produce moderately complex work products across engagement phases
- Apply methods to client needs
- Resolve technical issues with occasional assistance
- Develop, present, and defend conclusions and implementation plans
- Contribute to quality reviews and identify technical issues with proposed solutions
- Apply industry best practices knowledge
Project Management Capability
- Manage client expectations within defined scope
- Recommend resources based on engagement phases
- Delegate work to team members
- Use defined processes to assess engagement risks
- Manage issues in less complex projects or escalate in more complex ones
Scope
- Billable hours and business development targets established in annual goal setting
Management Responsibilities
- Role can be an Individual Contributor or lead person
- Generally does not have management responsibility for people they supervise
- May act as a project manager for a project team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
- 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment
- Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business or Economics
- Two+ years of project management experience
- Knowledge of a complete engagement lifecycle
- Building business development capability
- Advanced technical or industry knowledge
- Knowledge base in two or more solution areas
- Advanced knowledge in one or more aspects of consulting processes
- Human relations skills, collaboration, and team functions
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple project demands
- Ability to interface with personnel from staff to executive management
