Position: Director, Construction and Development

Responsibilities
  • Overall management of the company's real estate construction and development process; review project budget and supervise budget implementation.
  • Manage and oversee all construction management phases including, but not limited to, project budgeting, project bidding, contracts execution, organizing, tracking, review and initial approval of contractor invoicing, and execute of all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Responsible for organizing, managing, and coordinating with multiple third-party vendor from designer and architect, general contractors, construction managers, filings firm and expediters, and etc.
  • Coordinate the relationship between the project, tenants, various partners and internal leasing and asset management departments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Contractors and 3rd party Project Managers regarding construction related issues
  • 10 years of commercial construction experience, including experience working with local municipalities, required.
  • Experience and expertise in new construction, renovation/rehab, development, and industrial construction.
  • Ability to review and comprehend construction documents Experience with project management software, Yardi, and Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of renovation/construction
  • Experience reviewing and identifying critical details from lease documentation
  • Understanding of legal contracts and other related construction draw forms
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
  • Must possess a highly developed acumen in problem solving, communication, organization, and business analytics
Qualifications
