Overview
Environmental Senior Project Manager - Industrial Hygiene (IH) at ECS Group of Companies. This role leads projects from proposal through final invoice, ensuring task completion and client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager serves as the main client contact and demonstrates a positive customer service attitude aligned with ECS Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Actively mentor junior staff and support the overall development of the team
- Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary
- Market our services and maintain and further develop the client database
- Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, review invoices, and assist with collections as needed
- Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members
- Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
- Oversee environmental projects, assist junior staff with issue resolution and field staff training, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Oversee the preparation and review of proposals, change orders, and environmental reports
- Prepare environmental reports, perform analyses, and provide recommendations; review reports from junior staff
- Lead client meetings or calls to present findings and conclusions
- Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions
- Manage asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments
- Review daily field reports; conduct site visits to monitor quality and progress; communicate milestones to clients and advise on significant changes
- Direct site activities and maintain communication with field staff and senior managers on multiple projects
- Understand sample collection, preparation, preservation, and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines
- Independently prepare reports for Principal review; supervise others' reports and lead client meetings to discuss findings
- Maintain extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and their implications on study findings
- Coordinate with junior staff to direct field work by subcontractors and ECS technicians; manage multiple projects concurrently
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering or environmental science field
- 7+ years of Industrial Hygiene related experience
- CIH certification strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with industrial health and safety, OSHA compliance, asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality
- Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and test methods
- Ability to manage and develop new clients and build relationships with clients
- Experience reviewing field and laboratory testing; provide training and corrective actions as necessary
- Strong project delegation and independent project management experience
The expected pay range for this role and location is $80,000-$120,000/year. The final compensation will be determined based on location and other qualifications.
