Title: Office Services Specialist State Role Title:Admin and Office Spec II Hiring Range: $37,000 - $42,277 Pay Band: 2 Agency: Virginia Department of Health Location:LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION OFF Agency Website: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties This position supports the Long-Term Care Division within the VDH Office of Licensing and Certification. The daily tasks include following established policies and procedures to approve initial license requests, license renewals, and processing various mid-term updates to licenses for long term care facilities. Additional daily tasks include verifying that payments for license requests have been approved, requesting medical records from hospital facilities, answering phones, creating and updating office directories and logs, and uploading information regarding completed facility surveys to the VDH website for public viewing. Minimum Qualifications • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications • Ability to interpret and follow established procedures and guidelines • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing • Ability to complete a high volume of work on a daily basis • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry • Considerable skill in the operation of standard office equipment Additional Considerations • Advanced skills working with Microsoft Excel and Word Software • Knowledge of Licensing and Certification Practices for Long-Term or Acute Care Facilities Special Instructions You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
