Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our CNC machining department. The CNC Supervisor will lead a team of machinists, programmers, and operators to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role requires strong technical expertise in CNC machining, leadership skills to drive team performance, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor CNC machinists and operators to achieve production goals.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize machining work to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
- Ensure all CNC equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated safely.
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
- Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements and new part setups.
- Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
- Enforce safety policies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions within the CNC department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree in manufacturing, machining, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Haas, or similar), tooling, and machining processes.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
