Summary:
The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- This is a factory support role.
- Individuals utilize computer-based tools such as Teamcenter and review engineering prints adhering to ISO Standards.
- Respond to BOM (Bill of Materials) and design-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage the factory floor radio, the primary communication channel for real-time issue resolution.
- Required to physically visit the factory floor, gather information first hand, and drive issues to completion.
- Opportunity to engage with new product introductions on the assembly line.
- Address configuration problems, especially when the assembly line attempts to build incompatible combinations.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience is required.
- Master's Degree with 5-6 years of experience also considered.
Technical Skills Preferred:
- Basic coding experience in VB (Visual Basic) or Python.
- Familiarity with Power BI and SharePoint is a plus.
