Job Title: Deep foundations Senior Project Manager
Location: Remote (Head Office: Pittsburgh, PA)Coverage Area: Projects within a 1-3 hour radius of Pittsburgh
Sr. Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead project estimating and management for civil/geotechnical projects including deep foundations (micropiles, caissons, augercast piles), retention systems (shoring, tiebacks), ground improvement, and excavation support.
- Conduct site visits to assess geotechnical and logistical conditions.
- Review drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop project strategies.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals.
- Prepare detailed take-offs, cost estimates, bid packages, and budgets.
- Collaborate with legal and executive teams to negotiate contracts.
- Develop and submit project documentation including means and methods, design calculations (design-build), and material specifications.
- Oversee field operations, quality control, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Manage billing, documentation, and project close-out procedures.
- Participate in company-wide training and professional development.
Sr. Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical or civil construction project management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Analytical mindset with solid math and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with deep foundation and earth retention construction methods including micropiles, tiebacks, caissons, augercast piles, and shoring systems.
- Willingness to travel to job sites within a 1-3 hour radius of Pittsburgh.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and project management software.
- Valid driver's license required.
