2nd Shift Manufacturing Quality Specialist
Job Description
This position performs incoming and in-process inspections to confirm product and product specifications meet company and customer expectations and traceability requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform mechanical inspection of incoming, in-process and final assemblies to verify compliance to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
· Validate that all contract quality requirements have been met by reviewing in-process inspections, assembly and test records.
· Create objective quality evidence documentation packages for presentation to internal and external customers.
· Frequent interface with customer source inspectors, during their performance of source inspections.
· Engagement with cross functional team members to address and root cause deficiencies found during inspection.
· Support/Perform final inspection, and OQE package generation as required.
· Support/Perform product marking as required.
· Participate in failure investigation/corrective action activities
· Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
Education and Experience:
· 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing/quality field.
· Experience with contract/purchase order requirements review a plus.
· Experience with material receiving and shipping a plus.
· Ability to understand and follow written instructions and guidelines.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals, etc.
· Ability to use basic high school math skills.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Experience using precision measuring equipment for mechanical inspection.
· Proficiency using MS windows, MS office suite, and Adobe (professional) software.
· ERP system experience preferred.
