About the Role
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives, forging new partnerships, and expanding market presence across multiple channels. This position will focus on identifying and securing opportunities in B2B, clinical practice settings, strategic alliances, and regulated markets.
The ideal candidate will have experience in life sciences, biotechnology, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of building high-value partnerships and managing teams in highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Planning
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth across clinical, therapeutic, and B2B markets.
- Identify and evaluate new partnerships, distribution channels, and market opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and adoption drivers to inform strategy.
- Lead the full deal lifecycle: prospecting, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and long-term relationship management.
- Build partnerships with healthcare providers, clinics, pharmacies, distributors, and outsourcing facilities.
- Oversee clinic onboarding and ensure seamless integration through training and education.
- Drive lead generation, deal execution, and closure to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Focus on opportunities within regulated sterile compounding, outsourcing, and clinical adoption channels.
- Ensure strategies align with FDA, DEA, and state regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to proactively address compliance needs.
- Define and track KPIs for partnerships, market penetration, and clinical adoption.
- Provide executive leadership with detailed pipeline and revenue reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales.
- 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven success in biotech, life sciences, nutraceutical, or related highly regulated industries.
- Strong track record in structuring and closing high-value agreements.
- Expertise in contract negotiations and partnership development.
