This is a full-time, in-person role. We are hiring for openings in Canton, MA (serving clients throughout New England) and Charleston, SC (serving clients throughout the Southeast). Work takes place both in the shop and on-site at client locations
Working hours vary by project and season - including weekdays, weekends, late nights, and early mornings as needed. Flexibility is essential, as schedules adjust to accommodate installation windows, live events, and client availability.
About the Role
Are you passionate about technology, precision, and performance spaces? We're looking for a Pro A/V Systems Technician who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and takes pride in delivering clean, reliable, and professional A/V systems.
In this hands-on role, you'll work on a wide variety of projects, including large venue classrooms, corporate boardrooms, educational facilities, performance/entertainment spaces, and houses of worship. From permanent installations to high-profile live event spaces, you'll be part of a collaborative team that values craftsmanship, clear communication, and creating user-friendly systems that work flawlessly every time.
Responsibilities
Install, test, and commission A/V systems, including video projection, sound reinforcement, conferencing, control, and lighting systems
Interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and floor plans
Mount, terminate, dress, program, and configure displays/projectors, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, RF distribution, video walls, cameras, intercoms, wall plates, racks, and network infrastructure
Program and configure basic DSP, control, and matrix systems (experience with Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, Symetrix, or Crestron a plus)
Maintain meticulous wiring and cable management
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently or with engineering support
Coordinate on-site with clients, contractors, and team members
Document installations and perform system-level testing before handoff
Train clients and end-users on system functionality
Requirements
4-6+ years of experience in A/V installation or service
Proficiency in signal flow, system wiring, and safe installation practices
Familiarity with low-voltage wiring standards (Cat6, audio, video, control, etc.)
Comfort using power tools, lifts/ladders, and test equipment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong communication and time-management skills
Bonus Points
AutoCAD or other CAD software experience
CTS or CTS-I Certification
Experience with Dante, Q-SYS, Symetrix, Biamp, Symetrix, or Crestron NVX
Theatrical lighting and rigging familiarity
MEWP/scissor lift certification
Experience in K-12, higher ed, and/or performance venue installs
