1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

2nd shift: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Controls Technician to join our engineering team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pharmacy automation equipment to ensure efficient prescription drug distribution. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical expertise, safety knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical and mechanical equipment up to 3-phase 480V, including AC/DC motors, motor controls, gearmotors, pneumatic cylinders, valve banks, conveyors, belts, bearings, and VFDs.
  • Diagnose and repair printers, labelers, and automated packaging equipment issues.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to complete preventive maintenance and parts check-out.
  • Apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and maintain compliance with Arc Flash safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Support the logistics, fabrication, installation, and operation of automated pharmacy systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and dispensing departments to meet operational goals.
  • Recommend design modifications to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform administrative and operational tasks requiring independent initiative, problem-solving, and judgment.

Education & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Familiarity with NEC codes, safety regulations, and GMP environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under limited guidance using prior knowledge and experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of pharmacy or pharmaceutical automation systems.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization
