Position Summary
Seeking a Design Engineer to support multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. This role is essential for achieving strategic goals and offers strong opportunities for technical growth and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Development
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop engine-mounted cooling components.
- Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, simulation, testing) throughout the development cycle.
- Conduct and review DFMEA and DVP&R.
- Analyze CFD/FEA results and assess cost implications.
- Release components using internal systems.
- Lead design reviews and present findings to leadership.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with support from domain experts.
Current Product Improvement
- Perform teardown and root cause analysis of existing components.
Collaboration
- Work closely with suppliers, simulation teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively across global teams.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering with 5+ years of experience in component design and validation.
- Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience also acceptable.
- Internship experience is considered relevant.
- Candidates with only modeling/drafting experience will not be considered.
Technical Skills
- Design release experience.
- Strong academic foundation in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanics of materials.
- Experience with DFMEA and validation planning.
- Proficiency in CREO.
- Prior experience working with suppliers in collaborative development processes.
