They were recently assigned two (2) four-year assignments inspecting bridges throughout the state of Connecticut for Connecticut DOT as well as bridges throughout NYC and Long Island for New York State DOT. Responsibilities: Conducts site investigations as part of an inspection team Works collaboratively with all members of the engineering dive group Prepare standard documents, such as technical reports Assists Project Managers to ensure that the scope of work is fulfilled, and that the contracted deliverables go out on schedule and as budgeted Ability and willingness to travel as required, approximately 50% overnight Requirements (3) three years preferred related construction or bridge inspection experience Minimum of three (3) years of either construction or bridge inspection experience Dive Certification, NBIS, UW bridge inspection training is required Valid driver's license Experience as a commercial diver, including underwater inspections of bridges, piers, piles, wharves, docks, and bulkheads Familiarity with sound engineering and safe diving principles Overnight travel at 50% with paid expenses.
