Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • The Dual General Manager is a polished, well-spoken and well-regarded ambassador who carries a strong vision for the two hotels they support; responsible for all aspects of operations for their assigned properties; providing support, supervision and guidance to their management teams and front line associates.
  • Ensure financial performance is optimized, high quality product and service levels are maintained, and hotels are operated in compliance with state, federal and local regulations as well as Company and brand standards.
  • Establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives such as the sales plan and budget development and execution of physical property improvement projects.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to ensure revenue is maximized while expenses are effectively controlled.
  • Serve as the linchpin for communications with guests and clients, associates, ownership, corporate representatives, brand representatives and key vendors.
  • Direct the work of at least 2 full-time associates or their equivalents; supervise administrative, executive, or professional tasks and exercise discretion and independent judgement.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction and uphold brand standards across properties.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree with 4-5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with 5-6 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong speaking, reading and writing skills to ensure effective communication throughout the hotels.
  • Ability to convey information clearly; evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations; maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust to meet needs.
  • Effective listening to concerns of co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality dress code and wearing a name tag when working (per brand standards).
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality's standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid).
  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales, ensure daily ABR meetings focusing on prospecting and existing account calls and potential business results.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of the hotel's annual budget plan and monitor performance throughout the year.
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top accounts, meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on-site contacts regularly.
  • Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments via department heads.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts.
  • Conduct monthly financial calls with properties and hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and train new managers to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure training in service standards is taking place in each department using Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction through employee development and motivation.
  • Complete property visits regularly and provide trip reports; inspect rooms with Housekeeping and Property Engineer.
  • Ensure timely receipt of financial information for Corporate Office monthly; manage property cleanliness and maintenance through preventive programs with department managers.
  • Maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient interactions with guests and staff.
  • Review weekly and monthly financial position, forecast revenues and expenses, and perform reforecasts as needed.
  • Perform department manager performance appraisals per Aimbridge SOPs and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel per SOPs and ensure compliant administration of performance steps.
  • Ensure equitable treatment of all employees per SOPs.
  • Meet with sales clients on the property and assist in the sales effort.
  • Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests and offer assistance.
  • Maintain procedures for hotel safe security and initiate a monthly safe audit.
  • Conduct bi-monthly credit meetings and participate in hotel credit and collection policies.
  • Complete required corporate training modules and become certified to train as required.
  • Ensure scheduled meetings take place on the property.
