Job Description :

Gateway Construction is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in securing high-quality materials and services at competitive prices while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently across our construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with material suppliers and trade partners.
  • Lead and manage all purchasing functions, including item and assembly databases.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, request bids, negotiate contracts and ensure long-term competitiveness.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, designers and architects to determine material needs and streamline procurement processes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders, price lists and scopes of work.
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering and material databases.
  • Resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with accounting.
  • Monitor rebate programs, discounts and quality control measures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and training to team members on purchasing processes and software tools.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of purchasing, procurement or supply chain management experience in construction or residential building.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and building codes.
  • Proficiency with purchasing/project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, vendor management and contract administration.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
