Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Opportunity

Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Reports to: President & CEO

Company Summary: We are currently partners with a Virginia-based global solutions provider is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across a diverse portfolio of government and commercial programs. This role will oversee Business Development, Program Execution, Operations, Quality, and Compliance, ensuring seamless integration between revenue generation and delivery.

COO Key Responsibilities

• Lead revenue strategy and pipeline execution across multiple verticals.
• Oversee program management, proposal development, and customer delivery.
• Manage global operations, procurement, and logistics across multiple international sites.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., ITAR, EAR, ISO).
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, governance, and risk management.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across cross-functional teams.

COO Requirements

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in defense contracting, government programs, or similarly regulated industries.
• Proven success in capturing and executing large-scale government contracts.
• Deep understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, EAR, ISO, DEA/pharmacy).
• Experience managing global teams and scaling international operations.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
