General Manager (Fractional)

$100,000 - $120,000/20 hours per week

Exothermic Molding, one of the pioneers in Reaction Injection Molding (RIM), was founded in 1972 to provide parts to the medical, electronic, and lab instrument market. Since then, the company has expanded into many other applications and markets but remains committed to the RIM Molding process. Exothermic is also expanding capacity within the facility to increase efficiency and handle growth. We are introducing a revolutionary new product expected to significantly increase revenues and profitability. This is a great time to join our team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager is responsible for identifying and developing high-potential talent within the organization to ensure long-term leadership continuity. This includes serving as a mentor to a designated future successor for the General Manager role, providing guidance, coaching, and exposure to all facets of plant operations. The General Manager will create structured development plans, offer performance feedback, and involve the successor in strategic decision-making to prepare them for eventual transition into the role.

In addition, you will assist the management team in developing training plans for each role, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained; work with supervisors and managers to ensure career growth and development for all manufacturing staff, lead the team in planning and determining appropriate manufacturing methods, procedures, and tooling necessary to complete jobs profitably and correctly and establish, update, and continuously monitor production schedules.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a related field, along with a proven history of understanding manufacturing best practices and the desire to lead.
