The Allocator/ Allocation Manager is responsible for assisting the VP of Planning in the distribution of products to the company's global retail channels (online, retail stores, outlets, samples sales). The Planning Department crosses all channels of business and distribution, inclusive of brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, and wholesale on a global basis. The Allocator/ Allocation Analyst will continually monitor performance of assigned classifications to ensure inventory levels, assortments, quantities, and sizes are appropriate to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Planning and Merchandising teams to execute merchandise, account strategies, and financial plans that support the merchandising and financial objectives for the wholesales business.
- Analyze sales data and inventory levels to determine merchandise allocation.
- Monitoring and maintaining the amount of merchandise available for customers to purchase by location including Ecommerce channels.
- Strategize pre-season alMonitor core SKU-color-size replenishment for against out-of-stock KPI's.
- Communicate trend differences across assortments.
- Size analysis by location by product type/category.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Stay up to date on market trends and make recommendations for merchandise allocation based on consumer demand.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of each store and region profile through performance analysis and store communication.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
Education:
- BA degree or equivalent experience
Experience
- 4 or more years prior experience in Retail Allocation
- Retail industry experience a must
Competencies Required
- Knowledge of store allocation philosophies and methodology
- Highly proficient in Excel, MS Office, and other relevant retail applications
- Knowledge of JE Allocation & Replenishment Software, Full Circle, Teamwork, and or QlikView is a plus
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and a working knowledge of retail math
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Organized with an exacting attention to detail
