Planning Manager –Manufacturing

Location: Lake Elsinore, California (On-site/Hybrid)

Compensation: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary

The Planning Manager plays a critical role in driving operational performance in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for ensuring timely production, inventory efficiency, and supply continuity, this position leads efforts to balance demand and supply through strategic planning and execution of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage demand planning processes using forecasts, data trends, and customer insights.
• Optimize production schedules to fit demand while maximizing throughput and efficiency.
• Create and adjust supply plans to support manufacturing schedules and service levels.
• Lead Daily/Weekly/Monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring commitment to decisions across departments.
• Schedule production across multiple lines and product formats.
• Track and report KPIs including forecast accuracy, fill rate, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Warehousing, Procurement, and Quality teams to manage materials and ensure compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning systems and processes.
• Support new product introductions and promotional planning.
• Deliver actionable reporting and insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years in production or materials planning, preferably in manufacturing or CPG.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of MRP, ERP, and demand planning methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range in California: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications).
