Job Duties: Associate, Client Services - Operations with Goldman Sachs Wealth Services, L.P. in Cohoes, New York. Perform review of grant recommendations submitted by clients requesting to make payment to a charitable entity. Communicate with charities to obtain payment instructions to process outgoing payments. Requires: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include three (3) years of experience with: performing U.S. charity due diligence by researching charity registration and classification by the IRS and other U.S. regulatory bodies; performing international charity due diligence by working with client and internal teams on selecting the best vendor, such as NGO Source, CAF America, or Paragon Philanthropy, to help facilitate the international gift giving process; utilizing electronic payment processes and mechanisms, such as Early Warning System, to authenticate payment instructions; public and vendor-based sources of information, such as GuideStar (Candid), Charity Navigator, or Ren Databases, on charities and their eligibility to receive grants; and client service and effective communications, both written and verbal, with ultra-high net worth clients.
