Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare administration? Join our team at NSU Health in beautiful South Florida as a Patient Management Coordinator and play a pivotal role in the success of our clinics. As a Patient Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day dental clinic operations to ensure their smooth functioning. Your key responsibilities will include:
Clinic Operations: Supervise and manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
Student/Resident Support: Manage student and resident patient flow to meet curriculum needs, ensuring a valuable learning experience.
Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments to maintain smooth patient flow and support business operations.
Data Management: Enter, review, and monitor data and accounts in clinical information systems and NSU-specific systems for accurate processing and record-keeping.
Patient Follow-Up: Monitor the patient queue to ensure timely follow-up care for students and residents.
Problem Solving: Respond to internal and external inquiries, resolving complex issues with a deep understanding of policies and procedures.
Flexible ScheduleMay be required to work various shifts, including evenings.
Multi-Clinic CoverageProvide coverage for clinics at Davie and/or NMB locations as needed.
Additional Functions:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process referral authorizations to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of requests.
- Enter and review patient billing for 3rd party insurance or self-pay, ensuring accurate processing and record-keeping.
- Discuss financial payments and payment options with patients to ensure excellent customer service and optimal revenue collection.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's Degree and one (1) year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree.
- One (1) year of experience as a Patient Access Representative.
- Two (2) years working in a dental environment.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record system.
- Multi-lingual.
