Candidates with NICU experience are preferred. This is a 240-bed facility. The unit consists of 15 RT staff members. The minimum staffing requirement for day shifts is 3. The minimum staffing requirement for night shifts is 3. The average patient ratio is 30-40 points per shift. Equipment used includes PB 840 ventilators in the ICU. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typical hiring profile focuses on travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters. Candidates must have ACLS and BLS certifications. NRP and PALS certifications are preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, ABG sampling, and patient/staff education. All RT therapies are provided, including ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and medical-surgical. Ideal candidates are team players and collaborative. Low turnover on the unit.
