Moog Military Aircraft is looking for an Associate Project Manager to develop and execute project plans for implementing new manufacturing facilities/processes/equipment into production and relocating existing production equipment into new production areas. This role works within a multi-disciplinary team to define implementation requirements, budget, and resource requirements within the framework of Moog's AS9100 and customer contract requirements and global business processes. You'll provide input to major strategic initiatives and tactical execution of existing projects in support of Moog's growth and manufacturing innovation.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitation and coordination of facility and/or machining cell scoping, development and procurement.

* Creation and management of project plans.

* Tracking of capital and budget/spend.

* Tracking and influencing equipment delivery schedules.

* Tracking and influencing automation integration schedules.

* Tracking and coordination of:

o Part reprocessing and through operation approval for production

o Part First Article Inspection (FAI) coordination and resource planning

* Project status report outs and presentation to management.

* Coordinate required disciplines to gain approval of processes into production.

* Work with vendors/automation integrators as required to ensure requirements are understood, project is tracking to budget/schedule, and technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.

* Develop and manage project risk register. Develop mitigation plans for any risks that could impact project outcome.

* Technical/Engineering data gathering, process walks, benchmarking, and research.

* May be asked to run multiple projects of similar scope.

Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering ideal. Background in Operations, Product or Manufacturing Engineering a plus.

* 1 year of experience managing technical projects, programs or operations with strong time management, priority setting, and communication skills.

* Ability to navigate and manage multiple, interrelated projects.

* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; an energetic self-starter.

* Ability to meet deadlines and commitments associated with short and long-term projects.

* Must be able to understand and interact with technical information (apply engineering knowledge).

* Passion for digging into technical details when needed.

* Resourceful and able to quickly fill in knowledge gaps to be effective.

* Travel availability (domestic and/or internationally) less than 5%.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $60,000.00-$85,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
